"Look, it's not $600 or bust," said Rep. Hoyer. "(House Speaker Nancy) Pelosi said the other day, which I thought was a great line: 'We don't have red lines, we have values.' We're going into these negotiations with values."http://cnn.it/3jOyWC0

Of course they’re already caving. Are you fucking kidding me
@LeaderHoyer how dare you do this to us. Now that the millionaires and billionaires have been bailed out with OUR tax dollars the crumbs for the rest of us are being taken away. -

$600 a week is equivalent to $15 an hour for 40 hours. My company was forced to close. My career is gone. I made way more than this. Yet this is considered extravagant. I ask any of these politicians to try and live on this.....

So.... a little more honesty would be sweet. It’s an *extra* 15 dollars an hour *above* what unemployment already pays. Most people arguing for it, don’t realize that, or intentional leave that part out.

And to people who are bashing this person, please remember that "manager" is a job, a plain old ordinary job with wages, from which you can get fired. If they don't own the building, there's not much they can do.
