For a dude who's constantly in the news for proposing outlandish things that's decades ahead of us I don't think Elon effing Musk needed a PR stunt... Wasnt the rescue a last resort? The dude tried to help regardless if it worked or not. We need more people like Musk!!!!!!!!!

I honestly don't understand those of you defending Musk here. You say it wasn't a publicity stunt, but he didn't make the slightest effort to understand the conditions of the cave. 1/2

Also, he showed up while actual, successful rescue operations where being conducted with his contraption that had ZERO chance of helping. His presence there was not helpful in the slightest. And, why show up after most of the kids had already been successfully rescued? 2/2
