It is scary... it is also a 10 year old law in order to prosecute the parents lawfully

Children are being taken from parents who are legally seeking asylum too. Illegal border crossing is wrong. Shunting children into cages is evil and it's child abuse.

There is simply no proof that children are being taken away from their parents when they actually go to a border station seeking asylum. I would agree if that was the case but what appears to be happening is parents (or not) are bringing children in between border stations

They shut down the legal point of entry, forcing the parents to cross not at legal entry stations. They are not only separating children, they are torturing children.
