That's a funny way of saying jobs do not pay enough and we are being exploited.

I was already telling everyone that years BEFORE Covid changed everything, Sherlock.

No shit. Imagine having people tell you this everyday for over a year straight and you only report on it once you've pumped the market to a level you're content with. It's too late. You've fucked this country up beyond repair.

You're using a base of $18 an hour in this reporting and then talking about it a if that's the minimum wage, instead of more than $10 an hour higher than the actual minimum wage. The real story is that people making more than $10 an hour above minimum wage can't afford rent.

If you had any doubts about it before, it should be crystal clear now...the American Dream is officially dead, folks. And for most people, the American Reality is a nightmare.

Min. wage should be the MINIMUM amount in wages to afford to live alright. That means affording a home, food, vehicles, and some entertainment because we're people and not soulless robots. Not this shit we're forced to deal with. I want to work to live, not live to work.

It used to be, a long time ago. Then it got redefined by special interests as "what kids should earn at an after-school job" despite most workers earning it being adults, so that politicians could scoff at ever raising it. By never raising it, it allows ALL other jobs to pay low.

I grew up realizing people need either a roommate or significant other to have a place of their own otherwise they simply stay with their parents. It's just the cycle of life. Like how it's ridiculous to expect a high school kid to make $15 an hour their first job at McDonalds.

they could easily pay all their workers more if the people making millions a year from McDonalds took a paycut. No one should have to work 1000 jobs just to afford basic needs. Were not asking for a mansion and such. Just a house and car and to be able to eat well. Shame on us
