I don’t see how any smart company can conclude that a firm “return to the office” date is the right approach. Start slowly, consider the mental health of employees, consider what will produce the best work and products.

Every company has it’s culture, that’s ok. But firms need to skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it’s been. If Apple, a top innovator, can’t rustle up an innovative, modern, flexible working culture, powered by tech and designed to empower, they will fall behind.

Cook’s point is *when* to come back to work and if October is the right answer even if employees are vaccinated, not whether Apple is requiring vaccination or not. It would be stupid and irresponsible to resume office activities without vaccination.
