They are paying down stratospheric student debt and saving for a massively expensive house/ paying a huge mortgage. Financial crash>low interest rates>massive house price inflation> squeeze on millennials. Also generational change in perspective re possessions versus experiences

Spoiler alert. We aren’t SAVING anything because we’re all living paycheck to paycheck. Cost of living is so high that we feel badly for spending a single dollar on anything besides a bill.
