Safety improvements to South end streets CANNOT wait another year. Just this month, three pedestrians have been killed on our streets.
We see investments made downtown & North Seattle, but not in the area of the city most plagued by traffic deaths. This is unacceptable.

So, simple first order analysis game.
23 - 2022 pedestrian deaths in Seattle
54 - 2022 homicides in Seattle
Can we agree now that police are necessary & good? I’ll bet more police could push both these stats down, along with bicycle deaths. Moralistic posturing ain’t working.

Did you ever think the problem might be that the police aren’t enforcing traffic laws? It’s like Mad Max in Seattle these days.

According to WSDOT and WTSC, about half of all vehicle-involved pedestrian and cyclist fatalities, alcohol and drug abuse on the part of the pedestrians and cyclists are the major contributing factor leading to the death.
How are you going to fix that?
