The nation is awash in stimulus, and somehow Seattle was "short" money? How did that $5mm to study alternative policing go?

How could the city be facing a shortfall when the state and other local jurisdictions are experiencing windfall revenues, given the economy's rebound from the recession? Not to mention, voters approving and renewing one taxing measure after another? Council priorities indeed. 🤔

Don't let the progressive SCC lie to you. They absolutely cut the police budget. In 2020 it was $401.8 million, and in 2021 it dropped to $363 million....and for 2022 it's been cut to $355.5 million. Not to mention Seattle lost over 300 officers due to progressive policies.
