I still don't get why and how @YouTube allows companies to file copyright claims on PRIVATE videos. How is that even possible, considering the video is private? Also, the video is not even making money... BECAUSE IT'S PRIVATE. Just seems really tedious.

That makes sense, and I appreciate the clarification. Also, now that I further think about it, I would assume this happens to private videos, just in case the videos are uploaded as private, but made public in the future.

Still one thing though: Why does it take literally years for some of these videos to be copyright claimed, and not instantly?
