As a 20 year member of excited to see my local chapter firmly supporting the growing movement to ban single family home only zoning. It’s long overdue to recognize its creation of suburban sprawl/super commute pollution & racist origins:

This is such an amazing day - a day many told us was impossible. This is what we can do in America - help solve a global problem and improve people's lives, one coal plant at a time. Hell of a coalition and remarkable staff/volunteers at the campaign.

Here is a heat pump that heated to -30F. That’s pretty amazing. Clearly cold temperatures are not a barrier to heat pumps in Seattle.

Replying to @gschivley
This heat pump went close to -30F last winter in Minnesota. It has no mode other than "heat pump" (no electrical resistance supplement/backup).

Santa Monica builders confirm: a new building w/electric instead of gas equipment is $5,000 to $10,000 cheaper to construct and twice as efficient--as the city council encourages residents to switch from #gas to electric appliances to cut pollution.
