Grateful to see this, but it has to be noted that the dissent is nothing short of disgusting.

BREAKING: Supreme Court votes to *maintain* access to abortion pills. The majority extends its freeze on the Texas judge's anti-mifepristone ruling as litigation proceeds.

They are starting to say the quiet part out loud because the are emboldened by Dobbs and the TX Mife case. Fetal personhood will not only ban abortion. It will ban birth control and IVF. This has always been the endgame. It was never Roe.

Double… breaking news? A federal judge in Washington state has just issued an order barring the FDA from changing the status quo on mifepristone. In other words: the federal government now has to figure out how to interpret two competing orders.

Breaking news: Judge Kacsmaryk stays FDA approval of mifepristone but gives the federal government 7 days to seek emergency relief from the Fifth Circuit. In other words, this is NOT effective today. twitter.com/dsc250/status/…

Context: the ACA requires health plans to cover highly effective preventive services with no copays because they have public health benefits & there’s a strong public interest in not letting copays deter people from getting preventive care.

Reed O'Connor just dropped his opinion in Braidwood v Becerra (the challenge to covering HIV prevention). He holds that part 1 the preventive services coverage mandate--which covers cancer screenings, smoking cessation--is unconstitutional storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco

Today, BOLD leaders in the U.S. Senate introduced the EACH Act to ensure we can all access abortion care however much money we make and end the decades old Hyde Amendment. #4EACHOfUs #BeBoldEndHyde

Our President @theFword527 released the following statement: "The attacks on our freedom haven't slowed down, but neither have we. Women of color continue to organize in our communities and in the halls of Congress so that no one is denied abortion coverage..."

Such an important thread on boundaries and interactions with service dogs 👇🏻 Some of this goes for dogs more generally as well! Like always asking before petting someone’s dog. And if you have a dog, don’t let them run up to and distract a working service dog.
Quote Tweet
Yes, you should always ask before petting a Guide Dog. But I want you to also reflect on WHEN you ask to interact with a Guide Dog. Recently I've been breastfeeding, with @GuideDogAva at my feet, & people have asked to pet her. This really isn't an appropriate time to ask! 1/

A view of the head of fluffy blonde haired baby in a stripe outfit and Amy's hand holding the baby. Beneath her legs in light blue jeans, Guide Dog Ava is just visible lying on the ground looking up at Amy. Amy is breastfeeing but you can only see POV straight down past the baby's head to Ava.

I appreciate the point being made here, but insulin doesn’t have to always be the example we use for everything. The other medications on this list are also life-saving!

imagine comparing a life-saving medication like insulin to a “band-aid”

I don’t feel comfortable or ready to do any assignment until the last possible moment. As in, two hours until it’s due. I get it all done, always, sometimes by just a minute until it’s due. But I always get 100%. It’s worst if it’s a writing assignment. Is this neurodivergent lol

The thing is, the area of law I work in isn’t even tested on the bar. Why would I try to get an “A” on an exam that has near zero relation to my career?
Quote Tweet
just found out you only need to get 60% of the answers right to pass the New York bar exam. imagine you’re on trial and your lawyer got a D

House Republicans have wasted no time in pushing their anti-abortion agenda, slashing bodily autonomy & reproductive freedom. It's more important than ever that we repeal Hyde & expand access to essential abortion care. Our EACH Act would do just that. axios.com/2023/01/26/hou
