    This apartment complex in Galveston is subsidized by the federal government. There's mold, sewage backup, pests and broken smoke detectors, and complaints to are just ignored. It's a roof over residents' heads, sure, but it is wildly inadequate.

    Their fight isn't against strangers but agaunst their own attorney's office which uses a discriminatory ordinance on the bookds to demolish homes that could be sold and saved. City council should repeal the ordinance!
