Disagree. The right wants to divide the majority in the interests of a minority. The left wants to unite that majority. Using social media to insult large sections of the population plays into the hands of the right.

But OTOH, appearing to respect people's opinions can be patronizing. If we deprecate Johnson/Francois etc, why should we hold working class people with similar opinions to lower standards? But I take your point; it's tricky.
