Thousands of people ran to Kabul airport yesterday after hearing rumours that planes were taking volunteers to Turkey to help with earthquake relief.
A heartbreaking reminder of Aug 2021, when people in Afghanistan clung to planes to escape the Taliban.

#Pakistan needs to be held accountable for backing a regime that has blatantly violated human rights. The #Taliban will not change its brutal treatment of women until it has supporters like Pakistan.

To call this "a government" is sick. This is a hostage situation & people on every "side" of the story know that. Why do their lobbiests sit in the west? Why does Taliban leadership put their families outside of the country? Because they've made our Afghanistan a crime scene.

When a Kashmiri Muslim who has experienced the terror of Jamaat-e-Islami in Kashmir identifies the same tactics in Bangladesh, we should listen.
HAF continues to document and bring these violent acts to the attention of relevant U.S. government agencies.
