Social media platforms can be used to promote or undermine democracy depending on the context. Arab Spring was a great demonstration of their potential, and now anyone with ideological/political motives can use/abuse them to influence a large audience.

Raccoons are very intelligent - they are basically the animal equivalent of hackers. The Ethics Committee, which hosted the 2nd Grand Committee, will be studying Clearview AI and facial recognition next - and odds are it will come up during the next Grand Committee meeting in DC
