    An expert panel on poverty reduction appointed by the Liberal government recommended, “freedom from poverty as a fundamental right" & should be enshrined in the gov't's proposed poverty-reduction strategy. Wow, what a leap in our collect societal development that would have been.

    I can definitely relate to this. My name was butchered in school and I was always asked by teachers to give them a short form to pronounce. or to use an Anglo-alt. It wasn’t until senior high that I learned to love my name.

    Too often world history teachers focus more on the process of European conquest of Africa rather than African resistance. This focuses on the resistance. There’s a lot of it.
