Steve earned a reputation for hard work & initiative. April 1960, he was tapped for temporary duty at a sensitive site. #inmemoriam
Steve’s job at a remote airfield in SE Asia was to communicate with aircraft supplying Tibetans & support emergency landings. #inmemoriam
Steve was electrocuted while scouting sites for antennas on a metal roof which unknowingly had a current from an improperly grounded wire.
Stephen Kasarda, Jr. was 30 years old when he died. His wife, two sisters, and his mother survived him.

Steve was awarded the Intelligence Medal of Merit for his devotion to duty and outstanding service under hazardous conditions.
