There's actually a nonprofit research organization dedicated to that topic. I used to be chair of the board of directors. Part of the

I’m right wing and I hate factory farming...we have some commonality here.
-
Same. Go artisanal. Find someone who raises quality meat humanely and also fits your budget.

The end of factory farming would be the start of world war 3
#foodscarecity just enjoy your Sunday and let farmers feed the world -
Farmers could feed the world even more efficiently without factory farming.
-
how would that work?

Quillette raised money talking about free speech, now they censor anyone they disagree with in the comments section. How connected are you to this scam?

The only way to properly do this is culturally. We have to expose the evils of factory farming and decide as a society that we won't stand for it. Voting with our dollars by supporting sustainable farming.

so you’re in favor of starving people?
-
oh stop it. No really. It's ludicrous. If we are about spreading health AND longevity, than a meat-dependent diet isn't the thing to push.

Invest in a clean meat company, like Memphis Meats. Few people can be convinced to stop eating meat or even eat it sparingly, and mass production requires poor conditions. Only an affordable, synthetic alternative can eliminate animal-derived meat. Plus, we still get to eat meat!

Try the scientists who are devoting themselves to synthetic meat. It's cruelty-free without sacrificing necessary nutrition, and the more funding they get the faster we can end animal cruelty in the farming industry.

It's better to work to try to figure out ways to solve problems relating to factory farming over doing away with it completely. Lots of talk about artificial meat but I think that'll by and large be a dud.
-
In the short term, getting the word out about PRIME act will be useful so to encourage smaller meat slaughtering shops that aid in smaller farms. https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/2657 …
-
PRIME act is probably the most realistic potent weapon we have in regards to dealing with factory farms.
@RepThomasMassie has been key on this. Unfortunately it's a niche topic to which most do not follow besides those of small farmers & big ag whom are against it. -
Lab grown meats are non-serious solutions by non-credible individuals. "Ending" or "banning" factory farming without dealing with the laws that encourage such is simplistic and idealistic at best. Want to deal a blow to factory farming? - push for the PRIME act to be passed.
