I agree with your viewpoint however it seems to me that stopping factory farming is unlikely to happen until we further develop lab grown meat technologies & scale out the manufacturing & distribution processes.

Seems like we could manage that. The other day I had some Japanese butter—Miyoko. Thought it was some high-end import. Best butter ever. It turned out to be vegan. Some mix of coconut, safflower, cashew oils, salt.
-
Yes, but all of that is expensive. Horrible truth is animal farms are needed to feed the U.S. in an affordable way
-
I expect that once clean meat technology improves, it could take less time and resources to produce and thus be more affordable.
-
No doubt, but we are not there yet
-
I hope we'll get there soon and politicians will allow for research.

Modernization & automation of large scale farms (what u call factory farms)-97% of which r family owned-has led to better conditions for animals, fewer farm accidents/deaths, and affordable meat/produce for lower income ppl. Good sources

I admire your concern for animals

No. Factory farming, as reprehensible as it may seem, enables the production of meat which is affordable to the poor. Meat is no longer the sole prerogative of the wealthy, thanks in part to factory farming.
-
Then why are you using up all the subsides? Plus do you know how much resources are used? Huge carbon and water footprint. Loss of environment.
-
Commercial farms do use a lot of resources for sure but they use a lot less then the 20 or so conventional farms that they replace.
-
You need 16 kg of plants to make 1kg meat. It's better to switch to veganism, I suppose.

Have you considered what this would mean for consumers, especially those of lower income?
-
You mean if beans and pulses weren't healthier and cheaper than meat?
-
I wouldn’t say they are, no.
