"Violence outside the law is always wrong." Wrong. When the Proud Boys get into it with Antifa punks at these rallies, I've yet to see evidence of a Proud Boy initiating it, so what they're doing isn't violence, but the ending of violence.

No. You are describing vigilantism, which plays just as great a role in the breakdown of law and order in a society.
-
Vigilantism is a symptom of the failure of law and order, not a cause. And self-defense isn't vigilantism.

Well, just how, exactly, is the street violence and thuggery of Antifa to be matched and put down, when police everywhere are often told to stand down? The Democrats call for street thuggery against Trump and GOP. It will be met.

The author either ignores this reality or is blind to it.

You can drop the words "far-right" from any headline and make it simultaneously shorter AND more descriptive.

There is something incredibly venomous in this article. If you hold a speech, and someone attacks your venue, violently, you fight back. condemning both the aggressor and the defender as equally culpable, you are not suing for peace, but deciding you are a victim.

If the Gov't did its job we wouldn't be talking about the Proud Boys. If politicians and law enforcement are reluctant to keep citizens safe from groups like ANTIFA, opposition will rise up for the occasion. Doesn't make it right, but its anticipated. One side doesn't wear masks.

Maybe rich should look at some of the videos of antifa assaulting people over the years; It’ll loosen his grip on those pearls.

I’m a big fan of the reference. My take, Antifa is dangerously close to causing a backlash. Trust me, you do not want a right wing backlash. They think in much more earthly and physical terms. There is a common ground we can get back to. Dial back protests and stop the threats.

I love the Lebowski reference. Good show. I think the rubicon reference is more foreshadowing. And that is my great concern. It’s not a joke. I feel the weight of it. And I want to avoid the suffering for all that may get caught up in this.
