”One recent loss I rue is our ability to categorise any sexual indignity in the medium range. It either didn’t happen at all, or it was the most horrifying defilement in the history of the universe.” So much good sense in this ⁦@spectator⁩ article.https://www.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/why-christine-blasey-fords-testimony-didnt-make-me-cry/ …

Go, Lionel Shriver. I thought the same when I heard the testimony: I didn't cry, I just cringed. Like Shriver, I too have my own bloody abuse story. We must learn to differentiate (Adorno!), not junk everything into everything else.

It's time to acknowledge this for what it actually is. The weaponization of victimhood. It's calculated, strategic, devious and dishonourable. This is a movement that allows women to capitalize on opportunities, whether real or imagined, simply to further their ideology.

This, this, 1000 times this! Thank you so much for saying what I have been thinking but declined to express because it goes against "victims". Ford has damaged the true survivors' stories and recoveries and the Dems were absolutely complicit. Its stunningly shameful.

We’ve also lost the ability to categorize any sexual indignity below the medium range in the inconsequential, not-worth-mentioning range.

Richard Dawkins was accused of normalising abuse because he wasn't sufficiently traumatised as a child by the attentiins of a priest. Milo too, though his problem was he fluffed his lines and appeared to condone it. Guilty of not playing victim.

The messy hair, smeared glasses, little girl voice, and other tricks were all stage prop to make her look so confused, vulnerable, befuddled, bemused, and bedazzled, while she had 5 people behind her whispering in her ear. Seeing that con job mostly just pissed me off.

You might want to look up her string puller, Monica McLane as well as her brother, and see the connection to the swamp.

I expected the left to pull something in order to derail Kavanaugh, when Ford popped up with allegations, I immediately didn’t believe her, and never will - the left blew a lot of credibility with this

Speaking as a male feminist, I think you all should be ashamed of yourselves. I think you're all just no good rape apologists. Don't you know that due process and presumption of innocence is a tool of the patriarchy?!

This is sarcasm, but I absolutely did read someone say that due process and presumption of innocence are tools of the patriarchy. I pretty much just threw up for a few hours. No big deal.

I agree with this, assuming anything happened at all, which I very much doubt. The story is rat remotely credible. But if it’s based on something that did happen, that’s my assessment of it as well.
