    I'm reading a fascinating book about how our ideology influences what we *want* to see the world and how that interferes powerfully with the actual information hitting our eyeballs and I can't think of a better example than this.

  12. 🚨New study compared male/female well-being across globe by 3 criteria: healthy life span, education & life satisfaction. In 91 (68%) of the 131 countries (including USA) men more disadvantaged than women; in 43 (32%) countries, women more disadvantaged.
