    Thank you to the public for calling in the crimes witnessed as well as providing us with video evidence to assist with charges filed. Again we want to remind all of the dangers involved to participants and innocent bystanders from side show involvement and reckless driving.

    Honoring our fallen is never easy, but today's memorial service for Officer Kirk Griess was a beautiful tribute to an amazing man. We appreciate the support of the community and our allied agencies as we mourn Kirk, and ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts.

    HIGH SPEED & DUI DON’T MIX More DUI Enforcement along HWY 24 last night. 109 MPH & driving under the influence, such a horrible mix. Thankfully our Officers were able to stop this car and arrest the driver before a tragedy struck.

    Today I joined my CHP family to pay tribute to our fallen brother, Officer Kirk Griess, who was killed in a collision on August 10. The Bell Toll Tribute is the beginning of the healing process when we lose one of our own in the line of duty. His sacrifice will not be forgotten.
