Hmm. Still don’t see any stars. I guess that means they didn’t land on the moon either just like the Americans right? Where y’all at??
Most cameras can't pick up stars because they don't have enough exposure.
Then why is the dirt far in the distance so bright? If the exposure is long enough to illuminate the horizon, you would definitely see stars as well...
I'm no expert by any means but I believe the light from our sun helps. Stars are very dim so the camera needs to receive more light to be able to capture it.
It also seems like the probe has its@own light that’s projecting from behind or above the camera which could potentially wash out the background, making stars less visible than they might be otherwise
Why does the probe have its own light? I took a quick look at the moon yesterday and it looks like the whole back of the moon is bathed in sunlight at the moment.
Because I'm sure it plans on being there longer than "yesterday"
How is communication established with the probe? is there a satellite orbiting the moon? Geo-moon „stationary“?
There's a relay satellits called Queqiao. However it doesn't orbit the moon. It orbits the L2 Point of Earth-Moon System. You can see the orbit of Queqiao marked solid green and the path of communication marked dotted green and yellow.pic.twitter.com/Y5EEZwfXOh
Thank you! Looks like a complex orbit in three dimensions! Very sophisticated! *thumbs up*
In fact, it's a set of orbits called Halo Orbits which is unstable. Satellites usually need to tweak their orbit to stay there.
Ur good
If its the dark side, why is it so nicely lit up all the way to the mountains?
far side≠dark side
It's not a competition. Besides, America doesn't own the moon, if another country wants to explore there, they can. And they're doing a pretty good job.
For real, I hope one day we as a species will learn that fighting each other over things sets us back more that we'd like, and learn that working together in peace is what will spring us forward into the future at speeds undreamt of.
It’s tribalism that put men on the moon in the first place. Some degree of competition is what truly drives innovation and invention.
