Fusion would be expensive energy, given difficulty of obtaining and transporting source fuel, plus maintaining the reactor. Far better to use the Sun – thermonuclear reactor with no need to refuel or service.

What does "commercially relevant net energy" mean? Are you aiming to achieve only Q-plasma > 1 (scientific breakeven), or are you also aiming to achieve Q-total > 1 (engineering breakeven). Some clarity would be so refreshing.
