Personally would prefer the money to go to ramping up existing clean energy solutions such as solar wind and water as well as nature based ones.

We need fast renewables up to 2030 but we really need more tech to get past 70-80% clean renewable power. Could geothermal, nuclear, gas with carbon capture.
