[Statement] @CERN considers the presentation delivered by an invited scientist during a workshop as highly offensive, and supports the many members of the community that have expressed their indignation. #WomenInSTEM Full Statement: https://press.web.cern.ch/press-releases/2018/09/statement-cern-stands-diversity …

'Highly offensive', 'indignation'... so CERN, aside from all the emotion, are you claiming that the scientist's extensive data and analysis in his presentation are actually false? Or are you no longer interested in truth?

Did you actually saw the presentation he did? Or you just feel your masculinity in danger? Do you actually see any true data and facts in that presentation? In case, please, feel free to send me links on real data about how men are oppressed by women. I would do the same after.

They're allowed to present evidence backed arguments. His weren't... i.e. bad science.

Here an idea. If @CERN bars #Strumia from working there, his ERC Advanced Grant will have to be suspended as well, because CERN as host can't be easily replaced. https://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/199112_en.html … Will @ERC_Research make a statement?

Science should be free from any gender descrimination. Anyone with interest should be given a fair chance, and also everyone is allowed to put their points, if it is based on authentic data. We(men and women) should stop our cat fights and work together to a better future.

Given all the fuss that is being made about it, I'm very keen to know what it was the scientist said that gave so much offence. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
