    The decision to temporarily shut down outdoor dining is devastating to small businesses that have been struggling since March. Thank you Supervisor Barger for opposing this action. Today, I joined my colleagues in passing a resolution urging the county to allow outdoor dining.

    Data shows the surge in cases isn't coming from dining out, but from large social gatherings. Businesses have already made incredible sacrifices to align with safety protocols to remain open in order to pay their bills and feed their families. Read more:

    On Wednesday, the LA Animal Services GM shared that the West Valley shelter will tentatively reopen sometime in 2021. While this plan is subject to change, I will continue to make sure our residents’ voices are heard, and fight for a full reopening of the shelter.
