It’s finally out! Work with the Awesome Rosanne Rademaker and the one and only John . Perception and memory can be simultaneously represented in visual cortex using similar voxel-level activation patterns while parietal cortex recodes memory info.

Super happy to see independent converging evidence on the benefit of depth on VWM! :)

My first preprint of grad school (w/ ) is online! We found that enhancement of irrelevant object features was not confined to those objects, and actually affected behavioral performance on separate objects

I'll be in Philly for this week (Weds-Fri) - get in touch if you're interested in opportunities for RA, PhD, and postdoctoral research positions beginning 2019! The lab studies the neural bases of visual cognition using computational neuroimaging techniques

Responses were irreproducible from trial to trial, he was totally frustrated...then he discovered the beautiful reason for the lack of reproducibility: LEC cells are actually coding flow of time. So proud of my brother Albert!

Really neat new study from Eddie Ester's () at FAU published in J Neuro () - using EEG, they tracked the quality of spatial WM representations before and after informative retro-cues. Information recovers with a valid retro-cue

New preprint: me, D. Schacter, G.Alvarez. We show how gist-based false memory can be thought of in a hierarchical memory framework (with simple Bayesian model) - take home is that all memories are biased by category-level info, even highly confident ones

New preprint with Sirawaj Itthipuripat and John - we compared how spatial attention impacts fMRI and EEG responses in the same participants at same performance level and see different types of attentional modulation
