Based on the database we have built, budgeted allocations for cybersecurity have more than doubled from ₹6,612cr in FY 2012-13 to ₹15,575cr in FY 2022-23 at a CAGR of 8.10%.

In their current form, the draft amendments raise constitutional and legal concerns that merit additional scrutiny. We note that the terms ‘misinformation’, ‘fake’, and ‘false’ encompass a wide range of legal and unlawful content.
