As a professor, a liberal professor. My only advice to this young woman would be, you’re entering the real world now, act and dress appropriately. Get offended appropriately. Having a mini, “poor me” tantrum is not adult, not professional. Rationale adults discuss grievances.

The professor has a legitimate point. Not sure she said it right, but she has a point. If you want to be taken seriously dress the part. I would have said a similar thing to a male student. Stripping off seemed over the top.

It was a practice run for her presentation. Who dresses up for a dry run? Does the bride get in her wedding dress for the rehersal? Try reading the full story next time.

They mentioned in the article that for her actual presentation she was dressed in a shirt & shorts. So she completely ignored the professor’s advice about dressing the part & got offended instead over nothing. If you’re in a pro setting, you should dress like a pro. Seems legit.

Hold up! So she gets offended bc her professor questioned, during a practice run, what she would wear on the day of her thesis presentation? Usually for these things u dress professionally bc u are in a pro setting. The professor tried to help. Guidance = sexism nowadays I see.pic.twitter.com/d77DMwKm9a

False. Republicans fought for civil rights act and voting rights act hard, and Democrats voted against them at a much higher rate in both Houses than Republicans. Even your precious liberal biased politifact acknowledged this. Your party only sent Japanese to concentration camps.

You go to school to learn Teacher gives you lessons and advice You disagree with advice so you strip to make a point Im confused. If you dont like the advice - discuss it. If you are bullied by the teacher - address it. Stripping to make a point - not mature, go back 2 HS.
