In a sign of the times that some might find disturbing, schools are starting to replace analog clocks with digital ones because today's teens no longer know how to read them https://cbsn.ws/2I8BkA7 pic.twitter.com/1aKj4r1XlA

No wonder a Burger King worker can't do basic math when the power goes out. We don't need to throw more money at schools, we just need to make them teach the basics not tolerance and socialism.

Gotta be quicker, easier & LESS EXPENSIVE to teach teenagers how to tell time than to replace all the clocks in all the schools, right? Or has the "teach-to-test" curriculum dumbed down both the students and teachers to the point that actually teaching or learning is impossible?

To me this is bad parenting and bad teaching all rolled into one. We should be pushing for a return to analog instead of digitizing everything.

Youll never report this CBS cause youre owned by the government, but when governments become more and more corrupt, they do stuff like this to their citizens. Its called "dumbing down". They do this so governments can run their citizens like cattle going to slaughter.

Nor can they write in script. Upon passing their driver's test, they PRINT their name where it says "signature." Lawdy. 🙄

In our classroom we have both to support their learning of both. Dealt with the issue easily.

This approach only contributes to catapulting role-playing parents & undeveloped youth & societies—lazy, abbreviated remedy that’s conducive to our woes’ cyclic perpetuation. One doesn’t have to be in the NFL to know what’s going on in a football game. It takes a village, a plan.
