Here’s what you need to know: socialism has failed every time it’s been tried, yet Bernie and democrats want this for the U.S.
-
So why is socialist Bolivia doing so well? At any rate, exactly no Democrats are calling for actual socialism in the US. Strong safety nets and universal healthcare =/= socialism.
-
Bolivia doing so well? C’ mon! Come to São Paulo, Brazil, and you will find thousands of bolivians working on clothes manufacturing for very low wages under unhealthy conditions. The socialism is a bad illusion; a nightmare!
-
They work for low wages under unhealthy conditions in Brazil?
-
Yes! A lot of them, running from either worst conditions in Bolivia.
-
But Brazil is capitalist, not socialist right?
-
Brazil is an immitation of capitalism. We were under leftist rule for 14 years and now the economy and the Central Government are broken. Bolivians come here because there is even worse.

Why are people fleeing Venezuela???
@BernieSanders do you know? Isn’t Venezuela a socialist country? Isn’t socialism what@SenSanders and@TheDemocrats advocating for here in the US? Yep, yep, yep. Socialism is bad for everyone but the government leaders!#Election2018 -
No one is actually advocating for socialism in the US part from some very fringe figures. Not even Bernie. And Venezuela is a disaster because of authoritarianism and cronyism. Socialism is a bad idea but it is not the primary cause here.
-
Haha. Yeah. Right. How many democrats are running as socialists this year? If you call yourself a socialist, you’re advocating for socialism.

Venezuelans leaving Venezuela are economic migrants and asylum seekers, not refugees. The language is pejorative and defamatory against Venezuelans. https://www.ssi.org.au/faqs/refugee-faqs/148-what-is-the-difference-between-a-refugee-and-a-migrant …pic.twitter.com/kxoQ2q8E5p

Even the useless US definition of Venezuelans is migrants not refugees: - Refugees are persons fleeing armed conflict or persecution. - Migrants choose to move not because of a direct threat of persecution or death, but mainly to improve their lives. http://www.unhcr.org/en-us/news/latest/2016/7/55df0e556/unhcr-viewpoint-refugee-migrant-right.html …pic.twitter.com/n4dzNOlyx0

Have you ever been in Venezuela? Do you know how many died protesting against the government?
