Because from what I've read the state education costs 6.6 billion and the pot tax rev was only 129 million but not all of it goes directly to our schools.

When you cut education funding from other sources (Colorado has a balanced budget law) you aren't adding to the education budget by creating a new source of revenue. We've seen s before with schools, funding and the lottery.

Didn't the pot industry give over 300 million to schools last year. Where did that money go.

That is a great question. The tax dollars coming in from pot sales should have Colorado's teachers making plenty of money even though they may be teaching stoned students.

Nobody wants to work now. Nobody wants to do anything except get high eat and sleep. Pot tax doesn't exactly fix everything.

The reason it won't help is that those monies are already earmarked for school construction and maintenance funds. Also, previously implemented budget cuts to education greatly exceed the amount of available marijuana tax revenue
