Well, first of all he was on an airplane which means he’d been through metal detectors, so they knew he didn’t have a gun.
Quite different than someone acting suspicious & unlawful after just being stopped by police for questioning. -

How about nothing because the original incident likely didn't occur. You don't just blindly believe people, especially if the apparent offender says it didn't happen and there were clearly no witnesses.

I don't think cops are bad at all. I think the cops did nothing wrong in Starbucks. This is a whole different ball game. Swing the pendulum. Nowhere in the story does it say there WAS a witness to the original incident.
