Yeah, passengers not wearing their O2 mask correctly is the problem. The FAA shelving 737 engine inspections was no biggie.pic.twitter.com/yW29kR1jWY

I'll bet they will pay a lot more attention the next time they get on a plane and the cabin crew give their demonstration for emergencies.

Why is this being reported? These passengers came back safely because of a calm & qualified pilot. What they did or didn’t do had NOTHING to do with the horrible & heartbreaking death of one passenger.

The safety devices are insufficient, to be fair.

Look, when u up in the air? There’s no good way of doing anything. I mean a plane coming down, u think the mask will save u? I’ve been into a turbulence once & trust me u don’t wanna be in these situations. I’m just glad they safe & alive.

why didn't they listen to the safety lecture

It takes 1 minute... just pay attention. “Put mask over mouth and nose. Pull down to begin flow of oxygen”

How many people have been saved in a crash by uprighting their seats? and closing food trays? Zero!

Why aren't all Boeing aircraft grounded? Take this step with other aircraft manufacturers planes.

This isn't a passenger training issue. It's a design/UX issue. If the first instinct is to just put the damned thing over your mouth, not nose (you know, when you think you're gonna die and might not remember the lecture) then the masks are designed wrong.

Also showing that those oxygen masks weren’t needed at all.

Honestly, who doesn't know you breathe thru your nose and mouth?! WOW

Considering th anxiety level, they were likely mouth breathing anyway...no one perished because of improper mask use during a fast descent

the person didn’t die because of mask were wearing incorrectly, she died as a result of the engine blade, not the mask.
