A college professor is under fire after calling former first lady Barbara Bush an "amazing racist who...raised a war criminal," almost immediately after her death on Tuesday. http://cbsn.ws/2vrttMr pic.twitter.com/8BVqIICh2d

Of course, I should mention that she did do some good work with increasing literacy and I'm sure some other stuff. The bad doesn't erase the good, nor the good the bad. To paraphrase Hamlet, she was a woman, all in all.

Freedom to suffer the consequences of your free speech. Maybe she is protected by tenure, I don’t know. But if I had a say, which I don’t, she would lose her job.

As an employee of a public institution if she were to be fired for publically speaking her political opinions that would be a violation of 1st amendment, regardless of tenure.

What she said wasn't a political opinion.

There’s nothing brave, bold, or irrefutable by attacking someone deceased who can not defend themselves.

She literally JUST stated facts about this woman's life. She wasn't trying to be brave, she just pointed out she's partially responsible for the death of many. Lmao even in death u can't take criticism? Weak loser. What about the iraqis that couldn't defend themselves and died?

No... she is an ass for speaking in such a time when BASIC human decency and simple tact dictates what can be said and what should be left unsaid...

"Don't mention she raised a war criminal who's directly responsible for the deaths of over 1 million humans" is an odd form of tact.

This does not deserve the attention and publicity it is getting. Take all references from Twitter and CBS and all other networks stop airing anything to do with this. It only promotes division. There is a far greater judge deciding Mrs. Bush fate and more equitable..
