Even IF the police didn’t know people spend hours
@Starbucks w/out buying, (hard to believe), THE EMPLOYEE KNEW! This was clearly racially motivated on the part of Starbucks, the employees & the arresting officers! I’m white & I even know this!#SayItOutLoud !!#RacialProfiling !! -
Cold truth.. The employee called the police within minutes of their arrival. MINUTES. THEN FOLKS HIT WITH THE "It was in poor taste, but I think "They're" over reacting"pic.twitter.com/tgCEwGTx7i

The source was exposed this morning on GMA the video cameras showed the time of the gentleman entering the establishment and the recorded call to the police was 2 minutes later. What else do you need to see the situation for what it is?pic.twitter.com/VLld02bcJQ

In his defense, I go to Starbucks often, and didn't know the people who spend hours there using wifi, do so without buying a single thing. I assumed they at least bought a coffee.
-
That’s the thing. If your store is selling a product, yeah, you’d want the people inside to make at least 1 purchase. I totally get that.
-
But you know how shoppers think if a store is crowded, it’s probably pretty good? Well, there’s so many Starbucks around you’re bound to come across a bad one every once in while right?
-
I believe the reasons stores offer little perks like free WiFi is just so they could seem busier than competitors. They want people to stick around for a sec. I also think this was about crowd control, what type of crowd that manager wanted.
