This is another overblown incident that would never have occurred if the men simply OBEYED THE INSTRUCTIONS OF A POLICE OFFICER.

They shouldn’t have to leave a public place just because they’re black. You’re part of the problem
-
They didn't have to leave "just because they were black". The employee called 911 because they refused to make a purchase or leave. That is trespassing, and based on the tone of the employee's 911 call, probably a frequent occurrence at that location.
-
Which she wouldn’t have said if they were white. I am not a black man and I have walked into a Starbucks to wait for friends many of times and maybe not have even bought a coffee. This is where your white privilege shines.
-
Not necessarily at that location, not necessarily interacting with staff the same way. Having worked at Starbucks and in private security there is a line between customer service and enforcing policy. High volume location, stricter enforcement of policy.

Relative of a Starbucks employee here, can confirm Kyle is correct

Veteran of of one of the busiest in the world. Balancing customer service with kicking out shoplifting homeless was a daily struggle.

The recording where the manager respectfully referred to the two as gentlemen and never mentioned race? Sorry, that doesn't fit the preconceived narrative of racism we are supposed to believe.
-
Why were they asked to leave when a bunch of White ppl were doing the same thing...IN THE VIDEO? I'm sorry but IT DOES fit the OBVIOUS narrative of WS that you CHOOSE to not believe.
-
Because all the other people black and white had purchased something? Why does this seem so hard?

When you’re given 20 chances to leave and you don’t, you’re going to get arrested.

Being a white women... I've never been asked to leave.
#WhitePrivilege is alive and well. Shame! -
Coming from years of restaurant experience, I know courtesy. You don't treat an human being any way you don't want to be treated.

They were cuffed, escorted off the property, and let go without charges. I keep being told police shoot black men for stuff like this.
-
They were held for nine hours in jail

They are committed to making which part right? The part where the police dispatch decided to sound alarm bells over nothing?

So, the police dispatcher escalated this with their terminology =“disturbance” So wrong. First mistake of course was calling the police in the 1st place!
