Once again, I must say that Southwest Airlines has the highest caliber pilots in the industry.

Am I the only one who is a bit scared that somebody's first reaction in a life-threatening situation is to film it?
-
You're being disingenuously naive. He said he tried to contact family by text and restorted to live streaming. So long as a passenger is compliant with flight staff commands, the live feed could well save lives with data and evidence, and is otherwise typical behavior these days.
-
Save lives? Right. Yes, it' is typical behavior but that doesn't make it any less strange. If, at what you feel is to be your final moment, the first thought you have is to go "live" I would suggest some time away from social media.
-
as he stated, he tried to reach his family but wasn't getting through, and the only thing that worked was a livestream p.s. that said, I think the current teen generation is in an epidemic of social media diseases

Another heroic landing by pilot and crew. CBS should be interviewing them as soon as possible.
