American aircraft is designed to lose an entire engine and still fly to safe landing
-
American pilots train to lose one engine and fly the plane safely to landing. It’s pilot skill plus quality aircraft.

You'll find that rule also applies in Europe with non Boeing planes that are also quality too. It would make sense really.

Pay attention to safety instructions! Many people did not have the oxygen over mouth AND nose. Also noticed during the descent people still had laptops open and on tray tables?Obviously not aware that a flying laptop can be deadly as well.Kudos to the crew and pilot.

When did live streaming an emergency landing become part of the safety briefing giving to airline passengers? Aren't they forbidden from using their phone during takeoff and landing?
-
no, you can use your phone. that has been the rule for about 5 years now.
