I have a flight scheduled with them on Wednesday and their phone lines are constantly busy. They haven’t responded to my direct messages either. I travel infrequently and am scared to make this trip.

@Allegiant if its a "false narrative" then why won't you allow your pilots to speak to the press? And why did you fire Captain Kinzer for following protocol?! -
Firefighters told him not to evacuate; it was not necessary. He did it anyway. Read the whole story!
-
...If Allegiant didn’t want him to have to make an emergency landing then their engineers should have given him an aircraft that doesn’t release acrid smoke into the cabin.
-
Guess that applies to Southwest, Spirit, United, Delta, etc. - they all had problems.
-
There is rigorous documentation of such incidents and Allegiant has vastly more (per number of flights.) It’s a non-debatable fact.
-
Fine. I’ll keep flying Allegiant and you can pick Southwest, United, Frontier, Spirit, Delta, American and all those companies will actual aircraft failures and documented incidents. Enjoy the window seat!

Looks like
@CBSNews@60Minutes wasted the last year of its life investigating the wrong airline.@Allegiant is safer than southwest. Jus saying.pic.twitter.com/bnx8bBBmtCThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I’m certainly happy Allegiant employees wake up every morning thinking about how to move people safely but doesn’t that seem a bit counterintuitive when they are having to fly unsafe aircraft. Come on
#FFA get involved.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I hope the FAA and the entire industry watched this episode. As a regular flier, I have lost faith in the FAA. Whose idea was it to go from an enforcement culture to a compliance culture?
