On the 9th day of their strike, Oklahoma teachers spelled out a big message for legislators on the lawn of the state house: "STILL HERE, FUND US" http://cbsn.ws/2v53Wbq pic.twitter.com/NCdvnnbeh1

At least the liberals in the "union" there aren't putting their own selfish desires ahead of the needs of the children. #LiberalLogic

Exactly! Demanding adequate funding so that students have proper resources is totally selfish! When will the lamestream media wake up amirite??

Nikola Tesla invented alternating current in 1890, he was taught in a one room school with a chalk board in a time where there was no electric power or indoor plumbing. I think kids have more resources now and know less thanks to liberalism and union labor. #LiberalLogic

A natural born genius was taught how to question the world around him, aka basic principles of learning, in a shack with a chalkboard; therefore all modern children with the world's knowledge at their fingertips are inferior. #consevativelogic

Why are they inferior? I think it has a lot to do with the federal department of education and the teachers union. Let the local towns teach their kids without regulations. This is why private schools produce better educated students than public schools

NO! Private schools don't have needless department of education regulations that eat into the learning process of the students, making the teachers that much freer to educate. Homeschoolers are the least funded. They have the highest college acceptance and graduation rate.

Good for them, Politicians give themselves crazy raises, MN legislators got a $40K raise, Council members in Minneapolis 10K plus raises every year, Teachers are the forgotten frontline. City council members get 80k-100k for a part time job, Teacher fulltime with a degree 40-50k

Get back to work! And deal with the inflated budget, make the cuts needed with consolidation of districts less than 1000 kids, supt’s salaries, operate the agency like a business should be operated before DEMANDING more funding, for taxes to be raised!
