I taught in OK 17 years and my salary wasn’t even close to what this shows. I made far less.

NYS Avg. salary looks higher than it really is because of NYC. Upstate pay is MUCH lower.

Anyone who wants to teach should use this as A means of where you do or where you don’t want to teach. Look at the chart where they pay you better to teach but take into account the cost of living is higher in DC, NY and Connecticut.
