He wasn’t violent? So, what do we consider violent? That woman and child were probably terrified. He was terrorizing people on the street with what looked like a gun. That’s a good way to get yourself shot.

If I had been doing what he was doing, I would have expected the police to shoot me. This time I’m not crying foul, I’m not yelling excessive force. No, this time, that guy was asking to be shot.

If you’re pointing anything that resembles a gun at cops or civilians you’re asking for the consequences. It’s sad for this gentleman’s family and it’s sad for the cops that were just doing their jobs.

And if private citizens were able to defend themselves, that man probably would have been shot before the police got there.

Why can you not report it was some Stupid Moron with what appeared to be a gun? What difference does the color of his skin make?

You’re reporting of this story is biased. It’s an unfortunate situation for all involved but the shooting was justified. I’m sorry for that man & his family, but he left the police no choice.

Holy crap.. You walk around doing things like that there will be consequences. How about taking responsibility for your actions? 7-9 times is excessive and the cops should probably lose their jobs but that dudes behavior warranted some sort of action taken.

Action. Yes. Death. No.
-
The perception from the general public, as well as from law enforcement, was that there was an imminent threat of death. He was met with exactly the force in which he was conveying. It's not a good thing, it's not a happy thing. But those are the facts which can't be argued.

Many actually armed & dangerous men have been apprehended, not murdered, & are serving time for their crimes after a fair trial. I don’t have time to list names for u. Do your own research. *hint: they’re all white
#factsthatcantbeargued -
I have researched it and more unarmed white people get killed more often than black. It just unarmed black deaths are more publicized. Hint: facts
-
Furthermore I should change my stance about unarmed part. I should say white people in general are shot more often than black by cops. Actually Hispanics and whites are shot more often than blacks. Also, circumstances play a big role.

Imagine if he had a gun. His behavior and actions... I would have defended myself. Clearly he had an idea of harming someone he only lacked the means. Stop protesting nefarious behavior.

Sorry to say but that is justifiable. Are police expected to wait until one of them or a civilian are shot and killed! Nope. Anyone defending, that it wasn't justifiable is wrong.

How could ANYONE consider that to be an Over-reaction by police? THIS IS A "PERFECT-EXAMPLE" of how Obsessively Some-People are to Oppose the Police. THAT's "EXACTLY" the example Necessary to show Opposition to the police as Immensely-Exaggerated. It Really is a "PERFECT" Example
