        assult rifles are already illegal, and you serve time for owning one without a tax stamp from the gov, the AR-15 isnt an assult rifle, just a scary looking semi-auto, which all guns are now days besides bolt

        2/ @GentleWolfpig @KarenBeatyTX ..is exempt. I come from a family of gun owners & hunters. I can't see the purpose of hunters using the AR 15. It rips up the meat of animals & would blow the head off a deer or other animal if it wants to be kept for taxidermy. People really...

        yea i didnt want to touch on that.....its to hard for me to explain the idea behind the 2nd amend, it had nothing to do with hunting, and wasnt really about defending against your neighbor.....its about keeping the populace armed to hinder a tyrannical gov takeover....

        I agree with this ... but.. current owners- in good standing with the law ( no prior arrests) must offer proof of no mental illness and each year, owners must bring it/them and ammo to a designated facility for confirmation and license renewal.
