Not in the 1-2 second's it takes to distinguish it while drawing your weapon and reacting. I know cops with years on the job and military experience that will tell you it's next to impossible to do.

Being a 'veteran' and being a cop are totally different. Any rules apply to soldiers? Civil liberties and human rights that cops have to comply with usually disappear if 'in the interests of the state' and the military. Bet you wouldn't tell the difference.

If any of y'all were cops and you got dispatched to a man with a gun call, and that man came at you with what appeared to be a gun, you'd do one of two things: run and hide or shoot first and ask questions later!!!
