To voice opposition, some Stoneman Douglas students are filling their mandatory clear backpacks -- a new campus security initiative -- with items like tampons; the backpacks, they say, pose grave privacy concerns.pic.twitter.com/yU9UrH3ZAn

So what you're saying is the kids aren't willing to make accommodations for their own safety but they expect the rest of us to give up OUR rights so they have the illusion of safety even though it will in no way actually make them safer. Yeah, we're not going to do that.

Yet these students wont talk why we see kids post these types of videos of what they do to other students and wonder why this wouldn't be a national scandal. Ask yourself - why isn’t it? and then ask are people protesting the right thing??? https://twitter.com/BasedMonitored/status/978433791583768576/video/1 …

That's kinda stupid... but I agree that clear backpacks don't solve anything (and they're ugly af). It's entirely possible (with a little creativity) to hide a gun or a knife inside that backpack. They should rather invest in more metal detectors and security personnel.

At least with clear backpacks everyone will be able to see if someone walks in with an AR-15... 🙄

Only a #snowflake would..... you want protection, safer schools and then complain and become a puppet about change. And yet none of you have given any solid change, you have just complained!

You’re reporting this? There’s a shooting at YouTube Offices, US Military will protect our southern border against foreign invasion, QAnon is winning, @realDonaldTrump has the Deep State & MSM By the short hairs. Tampons in clear backpacks? Good lead - important stuff, carry on.

"The backpacks, they say, pose grave privacy concerns." How ironic considering the things some of those students are calling for.
