A California man who blasted into the sky in a homemade rocket is recovering from minor injuries. Mike Hughes climbed more than 1,800 feet above California's Mojave Desert, after several failed attempts. @cbsmireya says he wants to prove the earth is flat, like a frisbeepic.twitter.com/GwmyGOIHoJ

One of the many problems with flat earthers is that they think EVERYTHING is rigged to make ppl think the Earth is a globe. So even if they get on an airplane they'll go on saying that the windows distort the view by curving the whole thing.

You know how I know that the Earth isn’t flat? Look at a clock. There are 24h in a day. There are people who live 12h ahead, and when it’s their daytime, it’s our nighttime, and being we have one star in our solar system, it fits the assertion: the Earth is a spheroid.

I was thinking about what shape he thinks the sun and the moon have? Maybe this guy, sees them as frisbees’ also, thinking they are flat objects, even after seeing the moon spins and shows different parts to its surface, therefore, being a spinning orb.

True. Reviewing Galileo’s notes on the subject, observations of the waxing and the waning of the Moon also confirm it since only one side ever faces Earth; it’s tidally locked. Waxing and waning of Venus proves the Copernican model is valid, as do the Jovian satellites.

If you play around that the Earth is flat, it would then be a cube because the acceleration due to gravity (g) is approximately uniform on the Earth. If Earth were a cube, there would be 8 vertices which would be easily identified.
