Why didn't you get to speak? Because it seems as you have nothing new to add. You're only getting face time because your opinions reflect the status quo and there are a lot of people that have a vested interest in maintaining that status quo.

140 years ago, Dodge City US Marshal Wyatt Earp posted this sign at the city limits because he knew rowdy cowboys, booze and guns don't mix. He certainly wouldn't let mentally ill Adam Lanza have a gun or anyone have military grade AR-15's unless they were soldiers.

The 2nd Amendment was drafted in 1791. Therefore the solution to the gun problem in the US is simple. Merely extend constitutional protection of the right to own guns to those weapons available in 1791. Muskets etc. Not AR 15's or Barret .50's.

The First Amendment was drafted in 1791. Therefore the solution to the speech problem is simple. Merely extend protection of the right to free speech to media available in 1791. Pamphets? Sure. Not telephones, TV, or Twitter. Or does this logic only apply to rights you dislike?
